Your Labor Day Weekend Getaway is almost here!

Well, it is still just a little ways off, but Labor Day Weekend is coming fast, and now is the time to mark your calendar and start planning! Join UU campers from around Arizona for the Annual Labor Day Weekend Family retreat at SAWUURA, our wilderness camp in the Sierra Anches Mountains east of Payson. This year Labor Day Weekend falls on September 1-4. Our theme for the weekend is "Gifts of the Trees". Registration includes food for the entire weekend. This is a family camp in the best UU welcoming tradition. Individuals, friends, and family are all invited for fellowship, conversation, hiking, crafts, and stargazing in our 100 acre wood. Hurray!! The roads are improving!

Recently a great deal more of road SR 288 between Globe and SAWUURA has been paved! It is reported to be paved all the way to the pines! This will make traveling to SAWUURA *much* easier!!

this is your Call of the Wild! Please answer the call and sign up for/renew SAWUURA membership today! Just visit www.sawuura.org, and print a copy of the Membership Form. (Churches, if possible, please be so kind as to print a few of these and tack them up on your bulletin boards!)

----------Annual Meeting & Potluck

Our annual SAWUURA Members meeting has been moved to July 9. It will
be at Valley UU church, 6400 W. Del Rio St in Chandler, in the
Religious Education Building, Room 1 (west side of the parking lot).
Directions may be found at http://www.vuu.org/cs/findus. We'll start
with a potluck at 12:30 and the meeting will follow shortly after that.
The meeting is for SAWUURA members, but if you are interested in SAWUURA
and not yet a member, you are welcome to come by, join in the potluck,
meet us, chat, and learn more!

Several SAWUURA board members will have reached the end of their term
(2 years) this June, and so we'll be voting on new board member
positions. We are actively encouraging anyone with interest
to check this out! This is a GREAT way to be a meaningful part
of something fun and worthwhile. Board members plan events and
maintain SAWUURA. They provide the direction for its future. This is
not a demanding job, but it can certainly be very rewarding and fun!
